Hi

I am looking for suggestions on how to combat condensation in enclosed ponds.
I have recently enclosed my pond due to Mink attack.

I am currently running the pond at 23 deg but I suffering with high levels of condensation. The roof is the insulated metal type.

I have been opening the windows through the day and this prevents the build up through the day. I use a window vac in the morning to clear the windows but I don't think this is sustainable long term and I am concerned because I have already started to see signs of mould.

I have ordered an extractor fan to try to help but I am not sure if this will manage things.

I do plan to drop the temps but wanted to keep it up as long as possible while we are seeing some reasonable temps through the day

Any suggestions appreciated

Regards

Hi Ken,
Mink that have been released into the wild are a nightmare for pond keepers.
Hope the extract fan fixes the issue for you, please let us know.
Perhaps someone has other ideas?

Hi

Quick update.
The extractor fan has helped. I still have a lot of condensation on the windows but that is to be expected.
It has however stopped the build up on the wood panelling which was starting to go mouldy.
I am still removing the condensation from the windows daily and opening them through the day.
Regards
