Energy costs?
Anyone had their energy supplier go bust?
If so how much more do you have to pay per kwh with whoever you were switched to?
Did you manage to get a switch from them to a cheaper supplier,if so who?

Touch wood my electric and gas suppliers are surviving so far, so still on great deals .Just keeping fingers crossed and trying to prepare.

Gas currently paying unit 2.53p kwh

contract ends January then 6.66p kwh or more unless I can find it cheaper.

Electric is fairly cheap 12.11p kwh till May 2022 but supplier is not taking new customers so probably dodgy.

At least I have had cheap energy for a fair few years, probably a long time before we can find great deals again.

We were with Green Energy Network who went bust about 4m ago. We were seamlessly switched to EDF under the government/offgem scheme. Original pries honoured until October after which we default to the standard variable tariff. Due to the current energy pricing crisis any forward looking fixed price deals are more expensive than the standard variable tariff over the next 6m. But, this will go up again in April, by which time fixed price deals will possibly have gone up again, so it’s all a gamble now, unless you’re lucky enough to have fixed a long term fixed price deal recently, before the price hikes started.

Oh dear.
Symbio my electric supplier have gone bust,at least I have had a couple of years of the cheapest electricity available to me.
Must have saved a considerable amount whilst switching but its all over now.

My gas supplier will probably go soon. Do not think viable switching will happen for the foreseeable future.

Take regular readings of your energy meters, just in case
