Hi Tony, Although I have kept Koi for more than 40 years this is the first time I have seen the Yorkshire Koi site. I am hoping to maybe get some help with my immediate problem. I am moving house, and the new owners (because of young children ) do not want the Koi pond. I intend to build a new pond eventually but can't do it in time. I have about a dozen or so koi between 14 and 20 inches and am desperate to find them a new home.
I thought some members with good sized ponds may be able to help. Have you ant suggestions?
Many Thanks Briarpatch

Hi Christopher,

If you take some pics of the koi ideally individually and post pics in the for sale column with approx. size and prices for each or the whole collection you might sell them on here fairly quickly if they are reasonably priced. People will want to know if your pond is heated or not.

If you need help posting pics just ask.

Hi Tony,

I'm afraid my pond is not heated and I don't want to chase the fish around to try and take individual pictures. I might try to take a couple of pictures of the Koi in the pond, but as it's getting colder all the time the fish are staying down and not moving about too much. It could be as late as March before I have to fill the pond in depending on how fast the new owners move with solicitors etc.
I am not really bothered about taking any money for the fish, I just don't want to have to destroy them. I know it's not many people who could take them all, but I would gladly give them away.

Hi Christopher,

Try taking a few group pics pics and post them in the for sale .I would put to good homes only and ask for people to reply to your post with pics of their pond so that you are reassured.

You should maybe ask for a donation that you can give to charity or even the koi club.

If its getting close to the time that they have to go I can probably put you on to someone.

Tony
