Hard to shift costia and chilodonella but ICC should do the trick.

Use as advised by Duncan.

Maybe need every other day with salt at one ounce per gallon for 4 or 5 treatments.

I’ve used with salt in a quarantine vat think it was a 0.6 % solution that was a quite a while back but I also used this year in pond without the salt and it worked too I re scraped after 3 doses and all ok but I’ve heard others who have had to dose 4 times

Salt the pond over 2 days up to 0.9 leave for 7 days then reduce to 0.6 for a further 7 days then reduce with normal water changes this should remove all parasites with the exception of Flukes. (Increase oxygen level whilst at 0.9)

Hi all, noticed your replies regarding the Chilodonella and I have found some myself. I have treated in the past with Salt and Acriflavin Powder but noticed that you say you only use Salt Jimmy. I'm guessing that your saying it is the salt that kills the parasites and not the Acrflavin? If so what is the Acriflavin administered for by other people? Just wondering as it is good to know reasons and also the less chemicals in the pond the better I'm guessing? Thanks for your time.

Craig
