Hi all,
After the last 2 months of going to have to close my pond down due to the imminent sale of my house, the buyers have now pulled out....
So rather than dwelling I want to get my pond sorted and working as it should again. The issue I’ve got is the guy I would normally use has had to pack in.
Could anybody recommend anyone else who has the knowledge and is good with pond pipe work etc in the Barnsley area please.
Thanks in advance
Steve

Hello mate,
Longtime no speak! Hope you are well.
I’m having problems with one of my bottom drains again (not pulling the water through) I’ve had it a couple of time where the dome cover actually collapses and almost creates a vacuum affect! I’ve had one reinforced but it may have happened again. The sieve before the bakki keeps filling with water so that’s turned off. Maybe due to this the pipe to the bakki spray bar has snapped. I bought a protein skimmer 5 years ago which needs fitting.
I’m also having problems with the ASHP no defrosting. The pond at the moment is running just on a skimmer to a sieve then back via the ultra bead. So there seems to be a fair bit of work required.
Ps. It’s a completely different system from the one you saw all those years ago now.
I’m a bit lost as my normal guy has packed in due to ill health.
Do you know anyone who does it?
Cheers Steve

Hey Steve,

I’m well thanks.

The sieve shouldn’t be a big issue, if your not pumping enough water out then yeah it will flood, also if the screen is clogged then it will flood.

What ashp are you running ? Have you had it serviced at all ?

Re the bottom drain, you can pick relatively cheap underwater cameras up off amazon, perfect for popping into the pond and checking bottom drains out.

Guy wise not as such, other than local dealers it’s more a case of DIY

Cheers
Sarg

Thank you,
Good idea re the underwater camera.
It’s a crystal enterprises heat pump 10.5kw. I need to try and source someone who services them too!
Cheers Steve
