Bonsai winter care?

Have a couple of outdoor bonsai, do I need to protect from the recent very cold frosts.

Should I put bubble wrap around the pots/roots or maybe cover the whole trees in fleece?

Advice gratefully received as my first winter with bonsai.

Hi Tony, it depends what species they are, but most of my bonsai stay outside all winter, the only ones inside my workshop are the ones which i have recently wired & i dont want snow to rearrange the styling i have done. once the threat of snow has gone they will go back outside. however i have a lilac inside to protect this years flower buds from the frost, again this will go outside when frost isn't forecast. bubble wrap on the pot may protect the pot from cracking.
