Just thought I would try and post a few pics of my pond....it's taken a long time to get where I am today but I am not that far from completion now.

Most of the outside is complete. It's fully enclosed...it needs to be around these parts...we have many herons and foxes...we have even started getting otters around these parts . Not surprising really when your living close to the river and canal

Inside wall filter side has just been cladded too...notice the unfinished gap at the back? That's because I need to get into the neighbours garden to complete it but she will not let me until her shrub ( which is in my way ) has finished flowering.

New 100 mm x 100mm joists been fitted . Old ones were only 47 mm x 100. I was not happy with them as they were seconds so I replaced them with thicker and stronger timbers.

The pond will be just over 6 foot deep.
Still a fair bit to do but I have really pushed on the last couple of weekends and I really need it up and running in the next few months.
We could do with abit of sun first..... until next time...

It's looking brilliant Rob, you have put a lot of effort into this build and I'm looking forward to getting to see the finished article.

Very sensible Rob,
Wanting 2000 and building 4000+ you might never wish it was bigger.
Keep the progress pictures coming.

Shower turned up on Friday...it's a beast and it almost touches the roof.
It's going to take some filling with my chosen media I would think.
